Urban Decay loves LA

The "Show Pony Shadow Box" is a palette of six eyeshadows that represent the streets of LA. They played up this theme with the packaging as well. A picture of girls who represent the "art" inspiration of Los Angeles.
Oops, I forgot to take a picture of the palette inside! I'm too lazy to go take one. Although, I did take a picture of swatches of each eyeshadow.

Colors: Starting from the top left, clockwise. Mildew (deep green), Flash (electric purple), Toasted (copper), Snatch (peach-pink), Painkiller (vibrant turquoise), Smog (deep broze).

This is one of the many products I already own and purchases awhile back. I picked this up at Sephora, which retails at $30. Lovely colors I must say, although "Smog" and "Toasted" seem to repeat themselves in palettes (ex: Naked Palette). At least I won't run out for a long time. I haven't used much of Flash and Painkiller. I don't wear "out there" colors on a daily basis. There still fun to play with! Like I've said before, some of Urban Decay's eyeshadows have chunky glitter which tends to fallout, Snatch being one of them. This palette also came with the infamous Zero 24/7 eyeliner pencil and mini UDPP (Urban Decay Primer Potion). I don't think I'll ever have to buy a full size because I keep collecting them through the palettes! LOL

Enjoy.

Naked Palette Availability

I recently went onto sephora.com and checked the status on The Naked Palette by Urban Decay. This is what they wrote.

"Product Availability: This product is in extremely high demand. Accordingly, Urban Decay is producing as many as possible, as fast as they can. Sephora stores and Sephora.com will be receiving more stock in batches throughout the late summer and fall. Please check regularly to keep up-to-date on product availability. Thank you."

Come onnn baby turn off the lights let's get NAKED

Thinking of the title for this post and I automatically thought of the song Naked by Marques Houston. Perfect title for this product! :)

Urban Decay's... The Naked Palette.
Sleek, Soft velvet packaging.
12 gorgeous neutral colors.

I've heard about the huge "rave" over this product and when I saw it advertising, I fell in love! It's currently out of stock on Urbandecay.com, Sephora.com and Ulta.com. Pretty much anywhere online, as far as I know. It's a product THAT popular. At first I had a really hard time getting my hands on one. Urbandecay.com and Sephora.com was sold out and I even signed up to be on the "notification" email list when they go back in stock again. Then, I almost forgot about Ulta! So I go online and they happen to JUST put out the Naked palette on their online site. So I took no chances and bought it. It retails for approx. $44. It seems pricey, but you do get 12 shades with a double eyeliner pencil and a mini primer potion (eyeshadow primer). One single eyeshadow from Urban Decay cost $17! To me, you're definitely getting your $$$ worth. Btw, It's a permanent product not a limited edtion, which is a good thing! :)

I just absolutely love natural/neutral colors for everyday. It's just perfect for anyone and everyone of all skin tones. Colors ranging from matte to shimmer finishes which give you the option to play up with different looks. You can go from very natural eye to a darker/smokier eye.

Colors left-right: Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked

Colors: Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal

Liked I said, there's a mixture of matte and shimmer shades. The two matte shades are Naked and Buck. The rest are either vibrant shimmers or subtle like Virgin, which is a good highlight for the brow bone. The only "bad" part of some of Urban Decay's eyeshadows is that some are made with unnecessary chunky glitter which causes glitter fallout on your face (annoying); those shades are Creep and Sidecar. Besides that, I can live with it since the whole product is LOVE :]

SWATCHES: *In order from the colors listed above.

Nice colors right? Mmmhm.

*Remember, it comes with a double "24/7 eyeliner pencil" which I believe are the BEST. The colors are Zero, a dark black and Whiskey, a warm chocolate brown. Also, it comes with a small mini tube of the primer potion which is used before applying eyeshadow to prevent creasing and long lasting color.

Do I recommend this product? Oh, OF COURSE! It's my all time favorite palette right now. It's going to be a little hard to find, but hey... at least it's not going anywhere! Enjoy.

Much Love,
